Third Straight Podium for Jai Crawford; Tour de Korea
Jai Crawford’s latest result; a second place at the Tour de Korea has seen him power through the 10-stage event to finish a mere 17 seconds behind event winner Roger Beuchat of Switzerland. Fellow Aussie Timothy Roe finishing in third overall, the pair assisting the Savings and Loans Cycling Team to second place in the team rankings for the tour.
Jai now adds this impressive result to his second at Tour de Malaysia (April, 09); second at Tour de Langkawi (Feb,09); and first place in the King of the Mountain at the Tour de Wellington (Jan, 09).
Reflecting on his recent tours Jai said "Yet again another second place, but a really strong team performance. Personally it was a satisfying results nonetheless as I was just looking to get race legs leading into Qinghai Lake, there were certainly no other riders in the top 20 that hadn't raced a single day in the 6 weeks leading up to the race. Its obvious Catalyst and Recovery are playing no small role, a GC rider needs to be good day after day and therefore optimal recovery is an absolute requirement. Podiums in my last three international tours suggest ASCEND products are doing the right things for me."
Currently ranked inside the top 15 riders from Australia (CQ Rankings), Jai’s next goal as mentioned is the Tour of Qinghai Lake (China) in mid July, followed by a stint back home where he hopes to podium at the Australian Jayco Herald Sun Tour in October later this year.
Jai’s is now not the only one from the Savings and Loans team that has recognised the unique capacity for ASCEND Elite Recovery to return strength to the muscles. Joel Pearson who purchased our products for the first time just before flying out for the Tour de Korea, got in touch to let us know “The products which I got from you are great, I’m recovering well everyday. A couple of the guys (in the Savings and Loans team) are going to put orders in when we get home.”
It’s fantastic to see an Australian cycling team doing so well on the world stage, and we’re proud that our ASCEND products can assist them in being the best they can be.
